Too little, way too late, sir. Before my analysis, a short reminder: I hate sounding like a doomsayer. I love my country and don’t want this to be true, but it is true; we are in some deep shit. And we did ask for it.

    i agree with your points, and would offer that this is the best thing that could possibly happen to america at this time ... it brings many long-time hidden things to the surface ... it gives a chance to redefine "value" ... it offers a chance to redefine the meaning of what it is to be a productive human ...

    and to be honest, america, and americans, have shown no willingness to change anything about how they live or think .... this "crisis" gives an opportunity to do that.

    i also see something called "collective consciousness", and in that arena i do not yet see truly mature thinking showing up in the populace at large ... so, do not be surprised if circumstances continue to show up that create more chaos, including who is elected to the presidency ... because i think more chaos is necessary before the population will actually live differently, in many categories, from energy use, lifestyle, economic decisions, international relations .... etc. etc. etc..
