When Ross Perot, who did get almost 20% of the vote in 1992, dropped out of politics, some folks [see &lt;a href="http://www.independentvoting.org" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" title="www.independentvoting.org"&gt;www.independentvoting.org&lt;/a&gt;] renewed their commitment to grassroots organizing and independent movement building.
