You're right when you say that consumers will mos likely not notice.<br><br>Poland Spring water is now distributed in its Eco-friendly designed bottle. It has a different shape and the plastic is thinner. The whole idea is to use less plastic. Ok, mission accomplished. Their marketng ploy is that they are doing something environmentaly conscious by reducing waste. In all actuality they are cutting their own costs, thereby increasing their profit, when average Joe down the street buys the product.<br><br>Without going into detail as to why, I had an opened bottle of water, from anothe bottling company, which I proceded to pour into the new Poland Spring bottle. To my surprise, I couldn't fit all of the water into the Poland Spring bottle. Hmmm... I guess they really are saving their money, since not only is the plastic thinner, it is also smaller.
